This institution was established in year 2009-10 under the “Department of Technical Education”, Madhya Pradesh. It is situated on kacharwar road Near new RTO building , 7 km away from Umaria railway station.

This is one of the 21 newly established Polytechnic Colleges in MP. Institute is affiliated to RGPV, Bhopal and offers 3-year Diploma Programme in two branches i.e. Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Students are admitted through Pre Polytechnic Test (PPT) entrance exam conducted by MPPEB followed by online off-campus counselling conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh.

This Institution is spread in an area of around 10 acres with one block for education, proposed staff quarters and proposed hostel for girls and boys separately.
