Greetings from the Department of Mining Engineering!
The Department of Mining Engineering was established in the year 2024 with an intake capacity of 75 students. In view of the growing demand for skilled mining engineers in the coal and mineral industries, the department presently offers a Diploma in Mining Engineering course.
The department is equipped with state-of-the-art modern instruments and equipment, facilitating advanced laboratory experiments, practical training, and research activities.
Vision
To produce mining engineers of high calibre, fully equipped with modern technology, capable of addressing the challenges of sustainable development in the mining and minerals industry, and to be recognised nationally and internationally as a leading institute in quality education and research in the field of Mining Engineering.
